Tavern Uptown going even more ‘up’ with rooftop

The building that houses the Tavern Uptown, a popular watering hole at 538 E. 17th Ave., is being redeveloped into a mixed-use project with plans to develop an eight-story building with roughly 315 apartments and 14,000 square feet of retail space, which will include the addition of a rooftop patio for the Tavern on top of the eight-story building.
